This is a simple guessing game that any wine loving adult will appreciate. It’s the traditional, “Guess how many ______ and win a prize” game!
When we host parties I like to add “simple activity stations” around the house to keep people busy in between conversations and gluttony. As you can guess we had a wine party. 🙂
I placed the game right in the middle of the living room so people would notice it in passing and participate if they wanted to. Needless to say everyone participated because I advertised that there would be a “PRIZE!!” (Or two hehehehe)
I started with this chalk board easel I got from Target for $3! Using a pencil I lightly sketched out a fancy font I found on the internet, and went over it with my white chalk marker.
Next you need to fill a vessel with corks. I already had the canister jar but you can use any jar you have on hand; Flower vase, Large mason jar, Glass water pitcher, etc.
Large amounts of corks are sold at craft stores… or you can find about 1,000 of them in my craft room. 😀
Then I added a little stack of notecards for guests to write their answers on, and something for them to drop them in which was an oversized novelty wine glass.
I also added a bouquet of flowers to “liven things up a bit”… I mean, it’s a party!
Last thing – Buy decent wine for the prize. I did two prizes, one for the two closest guesses.
It was my favorite kind of wine so I’m glad I could gift it!! 🙂 ❤
Towards the end of the night I went through each card to find the two winners. Then I announced who they were.
Everyone clapped and cheered and then they raised me up on a chair and paraded me around the house chanting “Tara! Tara! Tara!” It was awesome.
Just kidding. That didn’t happen. Anyway, that was it, simple and fun. And it gave everyone a little something to look forward to at the end of the night.
I hope you’ll give it a try the next time you have friends over for wine!
Super cute! Love the sign you made!

Thanks Marsha and Mom-in-Law! It took me about 20 minutes to put the whole thing together – piece of cake!
