I recently made these meatballs as a party appetizer and they went SO FAST! They were so good I thought maybe I could serve them over fried rice and call it one of my ‘easy weeknight dinners’… which I did.. and had no complaints. 🙂 Lots of smiling faces actually!
To begin make my Easy Fried Rice. REALLY…it’s EASY… so easy in fact, that my 10 year old son knows how to make it now too. 🙂
And here I am teaching my husband how to make it. 😀
Voila! Set aside.
Here are the ingredients for the teriyaki meatballs, minus the green onion. Technically you just need frozen meatballs and teriyaki sauce for this dish.
The brown sugar, sesame seed and green onion are just flavor enhancers Not everyone is partial to the sweetness that the brown sugar adds, so try the sauce by itself first and decide if you want to add the brown sugar at all. 🙂
Note: I prefer Kikkoman Teriyaki Sauce & Marinade (not pictured here) which you can find at almost any grocery store.
These are so simple to make – you just throw everything into a skillet, and simmer under the lid for about 10-15 minutes. That’s it!
They are REALLY addictive too.. you’ve been warned!
Another notable mention is that my little one ate her whole bowl! *Yippee*
“Some days I feel like I’m really winning at this parent thing!” 🙂
Teriyaki Meatballs
- One 22-26 ounce bag Frozen Meatballs
- One 15 ounce jar Kikkoman Teriyaki Marinade & Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar or Honey (optional)
- Sesame Seeds
- Thinly sliced Green Onions
- Easy Fried Rice
Bring a large skillet to medium heat and coat with non-stick spray. Pour the entire jar of teriyaki sauce into skillet and then mix in either one tablespoon of brown sugar, or one tablespoon of honey (optional depending on sweetness preference). Now add the whole bag of meatballs. Heat until bubbling. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Salt & Pepper to taste. Garnish with sesame seeds and thinly sliced green onion. Serve over Easy Fried Rice. Enjoy! 🙂
