“Today’s menu choices: Take it or Leave it.”
– Every mom
Like this recipe, I began refining some of the posts on my blog. If you saw a Stroganoff recipe posted a year and a half ago then forget about it because *POOF* it’s been replaced.
What can I say besides ❤ Beef ❤ Stroganoff ❤ is ❤ love. ❤ Hearty, delicious, easy to prepare, I just love it and so does my family.
Simply combine ground beef with Worcestershire soaked mushrooms and onions in a rich sour cream sauce, then finish with a grating of fresh Parmesan cheese. Perfection!
I picked up this gem at the Vintage market and OMG. 🤩 I’m urging you to purchase gourmet Worcestershire sauce. It’s a bit pricey but some things are worth the splurge.
If you’re like me and always cooking then you’ll notice and appreciate the quality and difference (sorry LEA&PERRINS). I used this as a steak marinade on Valentine’s Day and it really kicked things up a notch! So go on and treat yourself!
Pastamore Barrel-Aged Worcestershire Sauce
The meal comes together in a few steps.
1. Brown ground beef, 2. Saute mushrooms, 3. Whisk together sour cream sauce, 4. Put it all together.
You can serve Stroganoff over cooked egg noodles or gently mix it together in a big pan like I do. Just don’t forget fresh Parmesan cheese!

Beef Stroganoff
- 16 oz. package Wide Egg Noodles
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 2 cups (8 oz.) Sliced Mushrooms such as Baby Bella
- 1 cup (1 medium) Diced Yellow Onion
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons (2 cloves) Minced Garlic
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
- 1-1/2 cups full fat Sour Cream
- 10.5 oz. can Campbell’s Condensed Mushroom Soup
- 10.5 oz. can Beef Broth
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- Aged Parmesan Cheese
- Fresh Parsley
Add ground beef to a large skillet and season with salt. Brown the beef, drain the fat and then set it aside on a plate.
In the same pan heat olive oil over medium to medium-high heat. Saute the mushrooms and onions until fragrant, 5-6 minutes. Add the Worcestershire sauce and minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute longer. Mix the ground beef back into the pan.
In a medium bowl whisk together sour cream, condensed mushroom soup, beef broth and salt. Stir the mixture into the beef and mushrooms and heat over medium heat for 4-5 minutes stirring often. Adjust seasonings to taste, adding salt and pepper as needed.
Serve mixed with or over cooked egg noodles. Garnish with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped Parsley.
Serves 4-6.
